This is a private trip and as such there is total flexibility in the itinerary and when you travel. Contact us for a tailormade tour.
Below is just a sample itinerary as we can organise pretty much anything you desire. This one week itinerary starts off from Cape Town and takes the unique Route 62 through the Little Karoo.
We visit the wine region towns of Worcester, Robertson and Montagu before stopping for lunch in Barrydale. From there we travel to our first nights destination, the 4 star Buffelsdrift Game Lodge. There we have evening and morning game drives viewing a large range of animals, including Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Giraffe.
The following day we visit the amazing Cango Caves. After our cave excursion we travel over the breathtaking Swartberg Pass to stay 2 nights in a traditional cottage in the Karoo village of Prince Albert. On day three we have a day trip to the intriguing valley of "The Hell" , where we learn about the forgotten community that lived there until relatively recent times.
On day four we travel through Meiringspoort, a magnificent ravine road, en route to Oudsthoorn, over the Outeniqua Pass, and down to Wilderness in the heart of the Garden Route. There we stay a couple of nights to discover the riches of this area, which include mountain walks, beautiful beaches and the Knysna lagoon.
On day six we travel west along the garden route towards Cape Town and stay either at the Bontebok National Park or De Hoop Nature Reserve (in Whale season). On day seven, our final day, we depart from Bontebok and head towards the coast to Hermanus before finally travelling the coastal road to Cape Town.
We have the option on night six of staying at the Garden Route Game Lodge. This game reserve has the big 5 amongst many other big game species, and also has luxury chalets. A great way to spend your last night on tour.
There is total flexibility on the itinerary when booking. Discuss with us the number of days and the route you would prefer to take.
